Sun City Carolina Lakes in Fort Mill, South Carolina, is just a short 10 minute drive from south Charlotte, North Carolina. As a veteran Realtor, I have just recently moved into this "over 55 active adult community" with my wife, and we love it! After promoting this community to several of my buyer clients over the last 2 years, I asked myself, why don't I live here? There is so much to do that you don't have time to do everything you want to do! With a 40,000 sq. ft. amenity center, lakes, trails, golf, multiple sports facilities, it's got it all! People from all over the country are flocking to this place, so there are plenty of opportunities to make more friends too. The housing is geared for us "mature" individuals, with single story homes dominating the landscape, but there are also 1 1/2 story homes, basement homes, villas, and condos. The property taxes are about $80.00 per thousand, so a $200,000 home has taxes of about $1,600 per year. With all this, what's not to like?
